Breakthrough Erectile Dysfunction Treatment in Pakistan: Reclaim Your Health and Confidence

Erectile Dysfunction can affect self-esteem and relationships—understanding its effects is crucial for healing. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a challenge faced by a lot of men, yet this problem is not discussed sufficiently due to stigmatization. It is important to bring this issue into the light and recognize that men’s health truly matters. More than half of the male population between the ages of 40 and 70 suffer from erectile dysfunction. [1]

Erectile dysfunction treatment in Pakistan is essential for a fulfilling relationship. However, achieving and maintaining intimacy can be challenging! In the subcontinent and Pakistan, this problem or issue is more commonly known as ‘mardana kamzori’. If you suffer from erectile dysfunction, you’re not alone; this condition is more common than you might think. However, there are effective erectile dysfunction treatment options available.

We are socialized as males to be stoic and reserved, to ignore health issues, and to keep going without complaining. However, when it comes to erectile dysfunction (ED), keeping quiet can have detrimental effects on one’s emotional and physical health.

What is Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?

Erectile dysfunction (ED), often referred to as impotence (mardana kamzori), is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. It can be a frustrating and stressful experience, impacting not only your physical well-being but also your emotional well-being and your relationship with your partner. [2]

The coordinated action of the brain, emotions, nerves, blood supply, muscles, and hormones result in the normal process of arousal. Thus, an issue with any one of these elements may result in erectile dysfunction (ED).

Why does Erectile Dysfunction (ED) happen at first place?

It’s crucial to feel calm, assured, and stimulated. But occasionally experiencing erection problems is natural. Anxiety, frustration, fatigue, or nervousness can all lead to erection issues. Alcohol consumption or any drug use may also have an impact. It may also be a side effect of some medications or cancer therapies, or it may be the outcome of other illnesses. [3]

Symptoms of Erectile Dysfunction (ED):

The symptoms of erectile dysfunction include the following:

  • Having trouble achieving an erection
  • Not being able to maintain an erection
  • Decreased desire for intercourse

It’s critical to realize that erectile dysfunction may be a sign of a more serious condition, such as diabetes or heart disease. Thus, do not hesitate to get in touch with your healthcare professional or physician if you consistently struggle to achieve or sustain an erection. [1]

Types of Erectile Dysfunction:

Two categories of impotence exist: [1] [4]

  • Psychogenic: the illness manifests itself quickly and erratically. It varies depending on the circumstances and is typically observed in the younger age range. It can be due to psychological or neurologic conditions. [5]
  • Organic: This kind of ED is associated with actual issues pertaining to the penis’s blood supply. The gradual onset manifests in nearly all cases and is typically observed in elderly adults. It can be either vascular or hormonal ED.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction:

There can be several causes for ED. Stress and anxiety combine to produce impotence in a vicious cycle. Tension or worry might impair one’s ability to perform during intimacy and potentially prevent a sufficient erection. This lowers one’s confidence and increases feelings of humiliation and worry. Moreover, there is a psychological connection between the triggering mechanism and interpersonal issues, such as depression, PTSD, and widower’s syndrome. However, the following list of physical (organic) causes of erectile dysfunction exists:

  • Heart or vascular disease: clogged blood vessels can reduce or completely limit the blood supply to the intimate organs. Atherosclerosis is the term for this condition, which can be brought on by diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol, and/or peripheral vascular disease. [10]
  • Neurological disorder: Conditions like multiple sclerosis, stroke, diabetes, spinal cord injury, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, or peripheral neuropathy can harm the nerves of the male organ. [8]
  • Trauma: Any damage or surgical procedure involving the spinal cord or pelvis. Long-term cycling can potentially cause nerve compression and alter penile blood flow. This could cause erectile dysfunction, either permanently or temporarily. Penile fracture is one of the most common causes of traumatic ED. [7]
  • Peyronie’s Disease: A condition in which the penis develops scar tissue that could be a potential cause for ED. [6]
  • Medications that cause side effects, such as antidepressants, antihistamines, treatments for high blood pressure, discomfort, prostate illness, or radiation therapy. [9]

Erectile Dysfunction Treatment

What will be needed for treatment depends on the underlying reason of ED (mardana kamzori). If your family doctor suspects a surgical or traumatic problem, they may recommend you to the specialist doctor. If psychogenic factors are a concern, they may also contact other allied healthcare professionals. It may take the cooperation of multiple disciplines to guarantee that you receive quality management. Options for treatment include: [11]

As part of medical therapy, the administration of

  • Tablets (Orally)
  • Injectable medications
  • Hormone replacement therapies.

Among the mechanical solutions are:

  • Penis pump: constriction rings and vacuum devices
  • implants in the penis
  • Surgery (stent implantation or bypass) for blood vessels that are leaky or clogged

Some of the lifestyle modifications include;

  • A healthy diet
  • Regular exercise
  • Weight loss

Supplements containing the following herbs and nutrients can also aid in improving erectile dysfunction (ED):

  • Epimedium grandiflorum (Icariin extract) [15]
  • Tribulus terrestris [14]
  • Vitamin E
  • Gingko biloba extract [16] [17]

OAD X MEN® has these herbal extracts present in its composition that can be beneficial in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. [12] [13]

Treatment is adequate when it combines lifestyle modifications with artery-dilating medications. These medications aid in the release of substances that improve penile blood flow. In essence, they facilitate erections by amplifying sexual excitement artificially. If these drugs are taken without first consulting a doctor, possible side effects include headaches, nausea, and heart problems. In particular, if you have a liver illness or experience a significant blood pressure problem, you should not use these drugs. Tell your doctor if you use any medications or have a cardiac issue.

The Key Takeaway

Erectile dysfunction doesn’t have to define your relationship or your sense of well-being. Remember, a healthy sexual life is an important part of overall well-being. If you’re experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED), it’s essential to discuss it with your doctor openly. Don’t hesitate to seek professional guidance.

With the right approach and open communication, you can manage erectile dysfunction (ED) effectively. Treatment can not only improve your sexual health but also strengthen your relationship with your partner. So, take charge of your health, prioritize open communication with your doctor and partner, and step towards a more fulfilling and intimate future.
